In a historic initiative aimed at promoting public health and emergency preparedness, HON. SHRI C. R. PATIL, President of BJP Gujarat State, in collaboration with the BJP Doctor Cell Team and the ISA Gujarat Chapter, successfully organized a mega Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training program across 37 medical colleges in Gujarat, setting a new world record.
Held on 2nd April 2023, the program witnessed an overwhelming participation of 2,500+ doctors and medical professionals, who collectively provided comprehensive theoretical and practical CPR training to an astonishing 45,027 individuals in a single day.
This large-scale awareness campaign was organized in support of the FIT India Movement and focused on spreading knowledge of life-saving CPR techniques, which are critical in emergencies such as cardiac arrests, choking, drowning, and other sudden life-threatening incidents.
The initiative not only raised mass awareness about basic life support skills but also demonstrated the power of community-driven healthcare education under the visionary leadership of Shri C. R. Patil. Medical students, faculty members, and public participants joined hands across urban and rural Gujarat to make this mission a resounding success.
This groundbreaking effort, which combined scale, speed, and social impact, has now entered the record books as the largest one-day CPR training event in the world, earning accolades from across the medical and public health community.
