In a remarkable effort to spread awareness and promote COVID-19 vaccination among citizens, Akhil Hindustani Viklang Sangathan, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, successfully organized a special two-day COVID-19 vaccination camp exclusively for the Divyang (specially-abled) community.
Under the expert guidance of Shri Samir Kakkad, Shri Ranjit Gohil, Shri Bankim Pathak, Dr. Bhushan Punani, and Shri J.T. Panchal, over 500 specially-abled individuals participated and received the COVID-19 vaccine free of cost. The event took place on 12th and 13th June 2021 at the Blind People Association premises in Vastrapur, Ahmedabad.
This unprecedented mass vaccination drive set a new world record, demonstrating an inclusive and compassionate approach to public health during the pandemic.
The initiative received strong support from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (Government of Gujarat), Bankim Pathak Foundation, Saika Mobility Hub, and the Blind People’s Association, reinforcing a united community effort to combat COVID-19.
