In a vibrant celebration of Assam’s rich cultural legacy, AASHIRVAAD, a leading brand from the ITC Group based in Bangalore, Karnataka, made history by organizing a world record-breaking Bihu dance event during the Bohag Bihu Festival 2024.
Held at Latasil, Guwahati, the four-day cultural extravaganza witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 9270 local citizens from across the state, who collectively performed 1891 traditional Bihu dances in synchrony, marking a remarkable tribute to Assamese heritage.
The Bihu dance, an energetic folk dance associated with the Bihu Festival, symbolizes joy, harvest, and the spirit of Assamese unity. This large-scale event not only showcased the diversity and cultural pride of Assam but also earned a new world record, further cementing Bihu’s place on the global cultural map.
