The recent Michelin Guide ceremony in Dubai was a landmark event for Indian gastronomy, with Passion Food and Beverage (F&B), led by 51-year-old entrepreneur Bhupender Nath, taking home the most accolades of any hospitality group.
Nath’s Dubai-based company, which he established in 2014, cemented its status as a culinary powerhouse by earning multiple distinctions, including the historic Three Michelin Stars for its flagship restaurant, Trèsind Studio, helmed by Corporate Chef Himanshu Saini. The three-star recognition is the first of its kind for an Indian restaurant globally.
The group’s success spanned across its portfolio, highlighted by the addition of a new entry to the prestigious list:
- Aamara Earns Bib Gourmand: The group’s relatively new venture, Aamara, a bistro that draws culinary inspiration from the Silk Route, was celebrated by the Guide. Despite being only about seven months old, the restaurant was awarded a Bib Gourmand—a distinction recognizing establishments that offer exceptionally good quality food at moderate prices.
Passion F&B’s collection of awards from the ceremony, which also includes the One Michelin Star for its plant-forward fine-dining concept, Avatara, underscores Nath’s vision to elevate Indian cuisine and hospitality onto the global culinary stage.
