Dr. Ranat R. Vishnoi, a senior Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon from Jaipur, Rajasthan, successfully performed a complex hip reconstruction surgery on a 104-year-old patient, Smt. Basanti Devi Somani of Yashwantgarh, Nagaur District. Assisted by a skilled team of five doctors, the surgery was conducted at Dana Shivam Hospital, Jaipur.
This extraordinary medical feat has set a new world record for the oldest patient to undergo such a surgery. The event was supported and lauded by the Honorable Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Kalyan Singh.
