D.Y. Patil University Sets World Record with 258 Copyright Filings in a Single Day

Demonstrating exceptional commitment to innovation and intellectual property rights, D.Y. Patil University (Ambi), School of Engineering & Technology, Talegaon has set a New World Record for the maximum number of copyrights filed by a group on a single day.

The achievement was accomplished during a Copyright Filing Marathon held at the Copyright Office, Dwarka, New Delhi. The initiative was led by Prof. (Dr.) Sayalee Gankar, Vice Chancellor, and Prof. (Dr.) Pranav Charkha, Dean.

A dedicated team of 23 faculty members participated in the marathon, successfully filing an impressive 258 copyrights within 10 hours, starting at 8:00 AM and concluding at 6:00 PM on the same day.

The project was efficiently coordinated and managed by Prof. Anurag Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Engineering and Information Technology, ensuring smooth execution of this large-scale academic effort.

This remarkable accomplishment highlights the university’s strong focus on fostering research, creativity, and intellectual property awareness among its academic community. It also sets a new benchmark for excellence in higher education and collaborative innovation.
