Ramsgate Mum with Spinal Fusion Takes on London Half Marathon to Inspire Others

A determined mother from Ramsgate, United Kingdom is preparing to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon despite having undergone spinal fusion surgery, in a powerful effort to inspire others and support a meaningful cause.

The runner, Sarah-Jane Clark, hopes to complete the 13.1-mile race while raising funds for the baby loss charity Sands. She is also aiming to secure recognition from Guinness World Records.

Clark underwent spinal fusion after years of back problems, a procedure that permanently joins sections of the spine to stabilize it. Despite the physical challenges, she has trained extensively to prepare for the demanding half-marathon.

She said the challenge is deeply personal, as it allows her to raise awareness and support for families affected by baby loss while showing others that major health setbacks do not have to end their ambitions.

Supporters from Ramsgate and beyond have rallied behind her campaign, donating to the charity and encouraging her as she prepares for the race in London.
