Paralympian Jere Forsberg Improves 25-Metre World Record with Five-Point Gain

Finnish Paralympian Jere Forsberg has strengthened his dominance in para-archery by improving the world record in the 25-metre event, adding five points to the previous mark.

Competing at a national para-archery competition in Helsinki, the experienced archer delivered a remarkable performance that pushed the record even higher. His precise shooting and consistency throughout the round earned him a new total that surpassed the previous world record by five points.

Forsberg, who competes in the compound bow category, is one of Finland’s most accomplished Paralympic archers. Over the years he has represented the country at multiple international competitions, including the Paralympic Games, where he has built a reputation for accuracy and composure under pressure.

Officials confirmed the result would be submitted for official verification by the World Archery Federation, the global governing body for the sport. If ratified, the score will stand as the new benchmark in the 25-metre category.

Speaking after the event, Forsberg expressed satisfaction with his performance and said he hopes the record will motivate other para-archers around the world.
