Five Swedish Students Break Carlsberg’s World Record With a Four-Millimetre-Tall Beer

Five engineering students from Stockholm, Sweden, have broken a unique world record by creating an incredibly tiny glass of beer measuring just four millimetres in height.

The students used advanced laboratory equipment and micro-engineering techniques to pour the miniature beverage, beating a previous record held by Danish brewing giant Carlsberg. Their tiny creation required extreme precision to control the liquid and form the microscopic foam layer typical of a real beer.

The project was carried out as part of a university experiment exploring fluid dynamics and micro-scale manufacturing. According to the team, producing such a tiny beverage required special tools normally used in scientific laboratories, including high-precision droplet control and microscopic measurement devices.

Although the beer was far too small to drink, the record attempt demonstrated how micro-technology can manipulate liquids at extremely small scales. Experts say the techniques used in the experiment could have applications in scientific research, medicine, and manufacturing.
