A towering tribute to America’s agricultural roots has earned recognition as the world’s largest corn stalk sculpture, standing tall along Interstate 80 and greeting travellers with its impressive presence. The massive artwork located in Agri‑Symbol Park celebrates the central role of corn and farming in the region’s history and economy.
Designed by sculptor Cliff Carlson of Wesley, Iowa, the sculpture is constructed from steel and stretches an astounding 76 feet (about 23 metres) into the sky, making it the largest corn stalk sculpture in the world according to record‑tracking organisations.
More than a monumental roadside attraction, the giant corn stalk symbolises the importance of agriculture to Iowa a state known for its vast cornfields and farming heritage and honours the farmers and pioneers whose work shaped the heartland.
The sculpture’s location just off the highway makes it a perfect photo stop for road trippers, and its presence in a picnic and rest area park allows visitors to stretch their legs, relax, and appreciate the art and the agricultural culture it represents.
Whether you’re a fan of quirky roadside landmarks or interested in the impact of farming culture on American art, the World’s Largest Corn Stalk Sculpture is a striking testament to rural creativity and record‑setting scale
