Lebanon has etched its name into the record books after creating the longest sandwich ever recorded, an extraordinary culinary feat that stretched an incredible 735 meters (2,411 feet) in length.

The record-breaking sandwich was assembled in the town of Hazmieh, near Beirut, by a large team of chefs, volunteers, and food enthusiasts. Carefully prepared and laid out in a continuous line, the massive sandwich featured traditional fillings and fresh ingredients, symbolising Lebanon’s rich food culture and spirit of teamwork.

Officials measured and verified the sandwich’s full length before confirming it as a world record, surpassing previous attempts by a significant margin. After the record was secured, the sandwich was shared with the public, ensuring that none of the food went to waste.

The event drew large crowds and international attention, highlighting Lebanon’s passion for gastronomy and its ability to turn food into a unifying celebration.
