Uttar Pradesh’s Siddi Jain Creates History as First Woman Cadet to Receive President’s Medal at Air Force POP

In a remarkable feat of courage, discipline, and determination, Siddi Jain, a young woman from Uttar Pradesh, has created history by becoming the first-ever woman cadet to receive the prestigious President’s Medal at the Passing Out Parade of the Indian Armed Forces.

Siddi, who hails from Bulandshahr, made headlines after choosing to leave behind her IIT (now NIT) path to pursue a life of service in the Indian Air Force. Once preparing for IIT–JEE in Kota with an impressive ranking, she decided to give up engineering and instead dedicated herself to wearing the nation’s uniform — a decision that has now become an inspiration for millions.

She cleared the NDA examination on her second attempt, and from the very first term of her training, she proved her grit. The journey was anything but easy — long hours of physical drills, strict discipline, mental endurance, and the demanding environment of military training tested her at every step. Yet, Siddi met each challenge with fierce determination, emerging stronger after each milestone.

Her success at the Passing Out Parade, where she was awarded the President’s Medal for standing first in overall merit, marks a historic moment not only for her home state but for the entire nation. It is a powerful message of what dedication, clarity of purpose, and unwavering passion can achieve.

Coming from a family of teachers, Siddi Jain has shown that no dream is too big when the fire to achieve it burns bright. She now heads to the Air Force Academy in Dundigal, Telangana, for her final phase of training, after which she will be officially commissioned as an officer in the Indian Air Force.

Her journey has lit a spark of hope and ambition for young girls across India, proving that national service, when fueled by determination, not only earns honor but also the love and pride of millions.

Siddi Jain stands today as a symbol of courage, discipline, and the limitless potential of India’s daughters.
