In a heartwarming and historic moment for wildlife conservation, a 57-year-old elephant named Anarkali has given birth to twin female calves at Panna Tiger Reserve — an exceptionally rare event that has amazed forest officials and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
Elephants usually give birth to only one calf at a time. However, Anarkali stunned everyone by delivering two healthy female calves within just three hours, marking the first recorded twin birth in the history of the reserve.
Forest officers celebrated the extraordinary milestone, calling it a “miracle of nature” and a symbol of hope for wildlife preservation. Visitors and conservationists have also expressed joy and admiration for the gentle giant.
Anarkali’s journey is as incredible as the moment itself.
