China to Unveil First-Ever Space Tourism Project at Shenzhen Hi-Tech Fair

China is set to enter the space tourism arena with its first-ever project, which will be unveiled next week by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) at the 27th China International Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) in Shenzhen, running from November 14-16.

This ambitious initiative signals China’s growing focus on commercial aerospace, with industry experts predicting early-stage space tourism operations within the next five to ten years. The project aims to position China among the leading nations developing civilian space travel experiences.

The CHTF, one of Asia’s largest technology exhibitions, is expected to attract 450,000 visitors and will also showcase breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, and cutting-edge robotics from Shenzhen-based companies.

China’s space tourism project underscores the nation’s expanding ambitions beyond Earth, combining innovation, technology, and commercial enterprise in a rapidly evolving space economy.
