Italian Chef in Florida Crafts 150 Varieties of Tiramisu

An Italian pastry chef living in Florida has taken dessert innovation to a whole new level — creating an astonishing 150 different varieties of tiramisu, the classic Italian coffee-flavored dessert loved around the world.

Chef Luca Bonfigli, originally from Perugia, Italy, has become a culinary sensation in the United States for his creative reinvention of tiramisu — from traditional espresso and mascarpone versions to wildly imaginative flavors like mango-coconut, matcha-pistachio, Nutella cheesecake, and even mojito tiramisu.

Working out of his boutique café, “Tirami-Too!”, located in downtown Miami, Chef Luca’s mission is simple — to make people smile, one layer of sweetness at a time.

“Tiramisu means ‘pick me up’ in Italian,” he said with a laugh. “So why not have 150 ways to lift your spirit?”

Each flavor is crafted from scratch using imported Italian ingredients and locally sourced produce. Over the years, Luca’s creative desserts have attracted both locals and tourists, with food bloggers calling his café “a dessert museum with a heartbeat.”

The chef’s latest creation, a “Florida Sunset Tiramisu” infused with orange zest and passion fruit cream, has become a viral sensation on social media — drawing dessert lovers from across the state.

Culinary experts have praised his dedication to balancing authenticity with experimentation, noting that his work reflects “the evolution of Italian cuisine in a global kitchen.”

Chef Luca’s passion project began nearly a decade ago when he moved to the U.S. with little more than a family recipe and a dream. Today, “Tirami-Too!” stands as a testament to that dream — celebrating the universal language of flavor and joy.

“No matter where you’re from,” Luca says, “everyone deserves a sweet moment in life — and a spoonful of tiramisu makes it better.”
