Pune’s Diana Pundole to Make History as First Indian Woman to Race a Ferrari Internationally

Breaking barriers in the world of motorsport, Diana Pundole, a 32-year-old racer from Pune, India, is set to make history as the first Indian woman to race a Ferrari on the global stage.

Pundole will compete in the prestigious Ferrari Club Challenge Middle East, driving the high-performance Ferrari 296 Challenge across iconic Formula One circuits in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

Her participation marks a groundbreaking moment for Indian motorsport, as no Indian woman has previously represented the country in a Ferrari racing event.

Pundole rose to national prominence after winning the 2024 MRF Saloon Cars Championship, where her precision driving and fearless spirit made her one of India’s most promising racers. Speaking about her upcoming challenge, she said, “Racing a Ferrari on the world stage is a dream come true. I hope my journey encourages more women to chase their passion for motorsport.”

Motorsport experts believe Pundole’s international debut could inspire a new generation of Indian women to enter the racing circuit, helping close the gender gap in one of the most competitive sports in the world.
