Legendary rock figure Ozzy Osbourne has been immortalized in a massive, record-breaking tribute at the height of the spooky season. Sunnyfields Farm in Southampton, England, successfully created the world’s Largest Cucurbita Mosaic (Image), an enormous artwork depicting the “Prince of Darkness.”
The giant mosaic, composed of hundreds of locally grown pumpkins and squashes, was officially measured at a mammoth 212 square meters (2,281 square feet), roughly the size of a professional tennis court. The arrangement, which broke the farm’s own previous record, shows the late musician surrounded by flying bats.
The project was a heartfelt tribute to the Black Sabbath frontman, who passed away earlier in the year at age 76. The farm owners, the Nelson family, put the subject of their annual pumpkin mosaic to a public vote, and over 70% of respondents chose Osbourne.
The creation, which took a team of 16 people approximately 16 hours to complete, features different colored pumpkins and squashes—black, white, and orange varieties—to create the striking image. Osbourne’s wife, Sharon, and daughter, Kelly, reportedly visited the farm to view the massive artwork and were deeply touched by the unique homage to the rock icon.
The record was confirmed by an Official Guinness World Records Adjudicator on October 10, 2025, just in time for the farm’s annual Halloween event.
