“Eddie Flexible” from Sierra Leone Sets Guinness World Record for Contortion Feat

Eddie John Browne, a world-class contortionist known professionally as “Eddie Flexible,” has quite literally bent over backwards to become a double record breaker for the Guinness World Records.

Hailing from Sierra Leone, Eddie is featured in the upcoming Guinness World Records 2026 book for his mind-bending feats of flexibility and control.

His first record, achieved on February 10, saw him equal the mark for the Most full body revolutions maintaining a chest stand position in one minute (male), with a total of 38 rotations. This incredible display of core strength and contortion requires the performer to hold their chest and head to the floor while using their legs to rapidly circle their body.

Eddie, who is currently performing with the prestigious Cirque du Soleil, didn’t stop there. A few weeks later, on February 27, he claimed a title all his own: the Most consecutive full body revolutions with a backbend handstand (male), completing an astonishing 21 repetitions.

Speaking about his achievement, Eddie expressed a profound connection to his art, describing his movement as a “language” that began in his room in Sierra Leone when he was just seven years old.

“I didn’t just break records. I broke limits,” he said, dedicating his success to dreamers and those who move like a storm. “From Sierra Leone to Cirque du Soleil to the Guinness World Records. You are seen. You are the story. You are the record.”
