Ruzhdi’s performance was the first of three world records shattered in the morning session, further extending his unparalleled run of championships victories.

The thrill continued in the field events as Malaysia’s Abdul Latif Romly completed a coveted hat-trick of World Championships gold medals in the men’s Long Jump T20 event. Romly delivered a stunning performance with a World Record effort of 7.67m, confirming his supremacy in the T20 classification and etching his name into the history of the event.

The final world record of the session came from Ukraine’s Volodymyr Ponomarenko in the men’s Shot Put T12. Ponomarenko left no doubt about his intent, setting a new World Record of 17.39m on just his second attempt, immediately taking a decisive lead that secured the gold medal.
