The newly consecrated Ayodhya Ram Mandir has cemented its status as a major economic powerhouse of faith, recording an impressive annual income of ₹327.07 Crore (approximately ₹3.27 Billion), placing it among the nation’s top four highest-earning religious shrines.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which manages the temple, announced the financial figures for the fiscal year 2024-25. The income, collected through donations, offerings, and interest on existing funds, has been driven by an unprecedented surge in pilgrim footfall following the temple’s consecration ceremony.
While the monumental figure of ₹8,327 Crore has been widely discussed in some quarters as a total corpus, the officially reported annual income of ₹327.07 Crore in its first major year of operation is what firmly establishes the Ram Mandir’s position as one of India’s wealthiest temples by yearly receipt.
An Economic and Spiritual Landmark
The Trust noted that the daily average of devotees visiting the temple ranges between 70,000 to 80,000, with numbers often tripling during weekends and major festivals, contributing significantly to the collections. The funds are earmarked for the temple’s maintenance, ongoing construction within the complex, and various charitable activities.
The rise of the Ram Mandir to a top-tier earning shrine underscores the profound spiritual and cultural significance of the temple, transforming Ayodhya into a global religious and economic hub.
