Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has once again made history, earning her a second Guinness World Record for preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. The record was officially confirmed on Monday, recognizing the colossal pot of jollof rice that weighed an astonishing 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz).
The record-breaking culinary event, a collaboration with food brand Gino, took place in Victoria Island, Lagos. The spectacle drew thousands of spectators, including celebrities and food enthusiasts who came to witness the historic moment.
Hilda Baci, who gained global fame in 2023 for her Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, has now cemented her status as a global ambassador for Nigerian cuisine.
