In a performance that redefined the classic magic trick, Italian magicians Walter Rolfo and Piero Ustignani astonished a crowd at the 2008 Magic Congress by setting a Guinness World Records title for the “most rabbits pulled out of a magician’s hat.” The duo kept audiences in a state of delighted disbelief by conjuring a total of 300 fuzzy white hares onto the stage, a feat that firmly established Rolfo as a record-breaking icon.
This initial success was just the beginning of a magical career for Rolfo. He has since collected four more Guinness World Records, bringing his total to five. In 2010, he set the record for the most magicians in a magic show, sharing the stage with 62 of his colleagues to showcase the power and unity of the magic community. In 2011, he shattered a record for most glasses broken during a mind control stage illusion by shattering 66 wine glasses with the power of his mind.
In 2015, Rolfo and his fellow magicians reclaimed the record for the most magicians in a magic show with a new total of 134 performers. His most recent and perhaps most magical feat came on New Year’s Eve in 2018, when he gathered an entire city together to break a record with him. He led 12,514 people in Turin in performing a single magic trick simultaneously, setting the record for the most magicians performing a trick simultaneously.
Rolfo’s achievements are a testament to his unique blend of magic, psychology, and public speaking, which he uses to inspire others. He has made doing the impossible his specialty, not only through his magic tricks but also as a life coach, author, and television host.
