A Georgia nonprofit has kicked its way into the record books for a good cause. Men Opposing Sex Trafficking (MOST) has officially set a new Guinness World Record for the “longest marathon playing kickball,” after playing for 52 consecutive hours over the Labor Day weekend.
The marathon game, which began at 8 a.m. on Friday, August 29, and ended on Sunday afternoon, was part of a major fundraising and awareness campaign to fight human sex trafficking. The previous record of 51 hours was set in 2011 by students at an Ohio high school.
This is the third world record for the Atlanta-based nonprofit in less than a year, following a 121-hour softball game in September 2024 and a 121-hour basketball game in March. The kickball event, however, marked a first for the organization as it featured a co-ed team. Thirteen women played alongside 27 men, who had to remain on the field for the entire duration of the attempt, taking only brief five-minute breaks every two hours.
The team’s grueling effort paid off, raising more than $200,000 for their mission. The funds will be used to support MOST’s work, which includes educating men on the issue of sex trafficking and assisting law enforcement with sting operations.
“This is not just about a game; it’s about drawing attention to a serious issue,” said a spokesperson for MOST. “By doing something this physically demanding, we’re showing people how serious we are about ending sex trafficking.”
The successful record attempt underscores MOST’s innovative approach to community outreach and its unwavering commitment to fighting a global problem with local action.
