Hair Down to Her Knees! 6-Year-Old Girl Creates World Record

In a feat of impressive dedication and a dash of serendipity, a 6-year-old girl has secured a world record for having the longest hair in her age category. Siyona Kukreja from New Delhi has been officially recognized by the Records for her remarkably long tresses, which measure 101.6 cm (40 inches) in length.

Siyona’s record-breaking journey began in January 2025, sparked by a simple Google search by her mother, Namrata. The mother-daughter duo, who were casually browsing for fun facts online, came across a similar record and realized that Siyona’s hair, which she had been growing since birth, might have a shot at the title.

“We always knew her hair was long, but we never thought it could be a world record,” said Namrata. “It was a ‘light bulb moment’ that led us to apply. We are incredibly proud of her.”

Maintaining Siyona’s hair is a family affair, requiring a meticulous care routine. The process includes a gentle wash with a homemade shampoo and a long, patient session of drying and combing to prevent tangles. Siyona’s hair is not just a source of pride; it has also become a symbol of her unique identity, earning her the nickname “Little Rapunzel” among friends and family.

Siyona’s achievement highlights a growing trend of young Indians pursuing and securing world records in a variety of categories. Her story, which began with a curious search on the internet, serves as an inspiring example of how a simple discovery can lead to global recognition.
