“Survivor of Toronto Plane Crash Sues Delta Airlines for $75 Million”

A woman who survived a terrifying Delta Air Lines crash landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport has filed a $75 million lawsuit against the airline, citing severe physical and emotional trauma.

The incident occurred earlier this year when Flight DL452, traveling from New York to Toronto, skidded off the runway during landing amid heavy rain and high winds. The aircraft reportedly struck a navigation antenna before careening onto the grass, where it eventually came to a halt. While all 108 passengers on board miraculously survived, several sustained injuries.

The plaintiff, whose identity is being withheld for privacy reasons, claims in her lawsuit that Delta Airlines failed to take appropriate precautions despite weather warnings. She alleges that the traumatic experience has left her with long-term psychological distress, spinal injuries, and severe anxiety, preventing her from resuming normal life and work.

“I relive those moments every time I close my eyes,” the woman stated through her legal team. “The fear, the screaming, the smoke—it was like watching your life flash before you.”

Her legal representatives are demanding $75 million in damages for physical harm, emotional suffering, and loss of income.

Delta Air Lines has issued a brief statement acknowledging the lawsuit, stating: “The safety of our passengers is our highest priority. We are cooperating fully with the investigation and will respond appropriately through legal channels.”

Transport Canada and aviation authorities in the U.S. are conducting a joint investigation into the causes of the incident. Preliminary findings suggest pilot error and poor visibility may have contributed.

This high-profile lawsuit is expected to set a precedent for future passenger compensation claims in aviation-related incidents in North America.
