NEW DELHI, INDIA – July 28, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s landmark initiative, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), has officially entered the record books, receiving a Guinness World Record for the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month.” The prestigious accolade was awarded for the unprecedented 3.53 crore (35.3 million) registrations received for the eighth edition of the program, hosted on the MyGov platform.
The official Guinness World Record certificate was formally presented in a ceremony in New Delhi, attended by a distinguished gathering of ministers and officials. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Union Minister of State Jitin Prasada were present to receive the honor, which was validated and announced by Rishi Nath, the official adjudicator from Guinness World Records.
Pariksha Pe Charcha, a flagship initiative by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with MyGov, has been a cornerstone of student engagement since its inception in 2018. It serves as a unique global platform where Prime Minister Modi directly interacts with students, parents, and teachers to transform the high-pressure examination season into a “festival of learning.”
Speaking at the event, Minister Pradhan lauded the Prime Minister’s vision for redefining examinations as a national celebration, citing that the 8th edition of PPC garnered over 21 crore total viewership across all media platforms. He stated that the record-breaking participation is a testament to the nation’s commitment to holistic education and the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized that the record for the highest registrations is a clear reflection of the immense public trust in the initiative. Jitin Prasada commended MyGov for leveraging technology to deepen citizen engagement, highlighting how the record showcases the program’s extensive reach nationwide.
PPC’s success is seen as a powerful alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s focus on stress-free, joyful, and experiential learning. The program has evolved into a nationwide movement, providing practical guidance on time management, digital distractions, and emotional resilience. With each passing year, it reinforces the powerful message that exams are not a final destination but a beginning of new opportunities.
