In a spectacular fusion of culture, art, and engineering, Johor has unveiled what is now recognized as the world’s longest Dragon Tunnel, allowing visitors to walk through the heart of a mythical beast brought to life.
Spanning several hundred meters, this architectural marvel weaves through scenic terrain and is embellished with vibrant traditional Chinese motifs, glowing lanterns, and interactive light shows. The tunnel is shaped and detailed to resemble a coiling dragon — complete with illuminated scales, sound effects, and smoke-emitting nostrils — giving visitors an immersive, multi-sensory experience.
Constructed as part of Johor’s cultural tourism drive, the Dragon Tunnel aims to attract both local and international tourists, offering a unique photo-op and educational journey through folklore and storytelling. It symbolizes good fortune, strength, and prosperity — all values deeply rooted in Chinese mythology.
The tunnel has already begun drawing thousands of tourists daily and is expected to become one of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks.
