Celebrated Pakistani martial artist Muhammad Rashid Naseem has once again earned global acclaim, as the Guinness World Records (GWR) officially congratulated him on the 10th anniversary of his iconic nunchaku record, calling it one of the “All-Time Greatest Best of the Best Records.”
Naseem, renowned as Pakistan’s leading multiple record-holder, first made history in June 2015, when he smashed 158 clay sporting targets in one minute using nunchaku. This extraordinary performance shattered the previous record of 102 clay targets, held by the USA’s Samuel Sprague, and has remained unbeaten for a full decade.
In a statement released Tuesday, Guinness World Records lauded Naseem, saying:
“Congratulations to Pakistan’s multiple record-smasher Muhammad Rashid Naseem – his title for the most clay sporting targets broken in one minute by nunchaku has been held for a remarkable 10 years.”
Rashid Naseem is no stranger to world records. He has so far registered over 100 official Guinness World Records, out of which seven involve nunchaku skills. His unmatched speed, precision, and mastery of martial arts have consistently placed Pakistan on the world map in competitive record-setting.
Among his many feats, one of the most admired was his 2022 record for the “most playing cards removed between two balanced bottles with a nunchaku in one minute,” which was featured in the Guinness World Records’ Best of the Year list.
Naseem’s enduring success is a point of national pride in Pakistan. Beyond the numbers, his dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence have inspired countless young martial artists across the country.
The 10-year milestone of his 2015 nunchaku record further solidifies his place among the legends of world record history, joining a rare group of record-holders whose achievements have stood the test of time.
