“Dr. C.P. Thakur Honoured with Padma Bhushan for Pioneering Contributions to Medicine”

Eminent physician and medical professional Dr. Chandreshwar Prasad Thakur has been conferred the prestigious Padma Bhushan for his outstanding contribution to the field of Medicine, particularly in the state of Bihar. His decades-long service has significantly shaped public health and medical education in the region.

Dr. C.P. Thakur has earned widespread respect not only as a skilled doctor but also as a public health advocate and policymaker. A specialist in tropical medicine and gastroenterology, he has played a pivotal role in advancing healthcare access in Bihar, especially in underdeveloped and rural areas.
