In a historic achievement for Pakistan’s mountaineering community, three Pakistani climbers have set new individual records on Mount Annapurna, the 10th-highest peak in the world at 8,091 meters.
Naila Kiani became the first Pakistani woman to summit the formidable Himalayan peak, marking a major milestone in female representation in high-altitude climbing for the country.
Shehroze Kashif, known as the “Broad Boy,” continued his remarkable ascent in the mountaineering world by becoming the youngest climber to scale 11 of the world’s 14 highest peaks.
In an extraordinary feat of endurance and skill, Sajid Ali Sadpara, son of the legendary Ali Sadpara, successfully summited Mount Annapurna without the use of supplementary oxygen, a challenge only a few elite climbers attempt.
Karrar Haidri, General Secretary of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, lauded the trio for their courageous efforts and achievements, stating that they have “brought immense pride and global recognition to Pakistan’s climbing community.”
These record-setting climbs underscore Pakistan’s growing prominence in global mountaineering and inspire a new generation of adventurers and athletes across the region.
