Dubai’s One Za’abeel Earns Guinness World Record for Longest Cantilevered Building

In yet another landmark achievement for Dubai’s architectural legacy, One Za’abeel, the city’s ultra-luxurious twin-tower development, has officially been awarded a Guinness World Record for housing the longest cantilevered building in the world.

The record-breaking feature, known as “The Link”, is a stunning concourse that bridges the twin towers near the Dubai World Trade Center roundabout. The cantilever — a structure that projects horizontally without support from below — stands as a striking feat of modern engineering and design.

The recognition was formally confirmed on March 1, positioning One Za’abeel as another extraordinary addition to Dubai’s skyline and its growing collection of globally recognized innovations.

“This achievement is not just a celebration of engineering brilliance but also reflects Dubai’s ongoing commitment to pioneering bold and imaginative development,” said a spokesperson from Ithra Dubai, the developer of One Za’abeel.

Boasting panoramic views, high-end hospitality offerings, residences, and commercial space, One Za’abeel continues Dubai’s tradition of redefining architectural limits, joining the ranks of iconic structures such as the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, and Dubai Frame.

The city’s skyline, already synonymous with world records and innovation, has now added another shining star — One Za’abeel’s “Link” — to its constellation of engineering marvels.
