In a stunning display of precision and poise, Budde Shanumukhi Naga Sai, a first-year B.Com student from the Paari School of Business at SRM University-AP, has carved her name into the annals of international archery. Representing India at the Asia Cup Leg 2 in Singapore (2025), she shattered two world records and secured three silver medals, earning global recognition for both herself and her university.
Competing in the Under-21 category for Compound Archery, Naga Sai set a new world record in the Women’s Team (50m Compound) event with a combined score of 2101, breaking the previous record of 2076. She further stunned the archery world by establishing another world record in the Mixed Team (50m Compound) event, scoring 1420, just edging past the earlier mark of 1419.
Her impressive medal haul of three silver medals adds to India’s growing dominance in youth archery and highlights the rising talent emerging from university-level sports programs.
