Hundreds of enthusiastic participants, clutching their beloved hobby horses, descended upon the Hurst Show & Country Fayre this past Sunday in a spirited attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest stick horse parade.
The lively spectacle, held at the popular Berkshire village event, saw the hobby horses and their riders embark on a 1-kilometer (0.62-mile) parade, creating a truly unique and memorable sight.
According to the fayre’s organizers, the existing world record for the largest stick horse parade stands at 250 participants. With great anticipation, Hurst Show officials confirmed their count, stating, “We counted 263 riders so we are hopeful!”
The organizers and participants are now eagerly awaiting official confirmation from Guinness World Records adjudicators. If successful, this whimsical endeavor will not only secure a new world record but also underscore the vibrant community spirit and creativity flourishing at the Hurst Show & Country Fayre.
