Hong Kong’s vibrant innovation and technology sector is taking center stage at a prestigious international exhibition, with the “Hong Kong Innovation and Invention Exhibition” providing a crucial platform for local startups and established companies to connect with global businesses and showcase their groundbreaking products.
Located at Booth A57 in Hall 1, the 80-square-meter exhibition area is a flagship project organized by the Hong Kong Exporters’ Association (HKEA) and generously sponsored by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC). Its core mission is to offer Hong Kong’s innovators unparalleled international exchange opportunities, elevate their products onto the world’s top exhibition platforms, and share compelling stories of Hong Kong’s technological prowess with a global audience.
Among the innovative startups featured are ec-heat and Elleon Biotech, whose co-founders were present alongside Alice Lai, Vice Chairman of HKEA and Project Convenor of HKII, at the exhibition. These companies represent the diverse and dynamic nature of Hong Kong’s I&T landscape. Elleon Biotech, for instance, focuses on developing advanced immunoassay technology, including their “PhenoDot” product, which aims to provide faster, cheaper, and more accurate diagnostic tools.
The “Hong Kong Innovation and Invention Exhibition” highlights innovations across six key categories: Smart City, Smart Finance, Health Technologies and Medicine, Smart Transportation and Smart Industry, and a newly added Youth class for young inventors. This initiative not only provides invaluable exposure for Hong Kong businesses but also fosters collaboration and cultivates a thriving innovation culture within the city and beyond.
Through such international showcases, Hong Kong aims to reinforce its position as a leading innovation and technology hub, bridging the gap between Mainland China’s technological advancements and the global market.
