Wiltshire School Manager Smashes 12-Hour Darts World Record for Charity

In a remarkable display of endurance and precision, Tom Barkham, a school cover manager from Wroughton, has provisionally set a new Guinness World Record for the most points scored on a dartboard in 12 hours.

Barkham took on the grueling challenge at The Carter’s Rest pub on Saturday, originally aiming to hit 160,000 points. But with unwavering focus and determination, he exceeded expectations, finishing with a staggering total of 166,612 points.

The amateur darts enthusiast used the opportunity to raise funds for Prospect Hospice, a cause close to his heart. Supporters rallied behind his effort, cheering him on throughout the day.

“By the end, my calves felt like concrete and my arm was somewhat non-existent,” Barkham admitted, “but I’m just relieved—and proud—to have completed it.”

The record attempt is now under official review by Guinness World Records, but Barkham’s incredible achievement has already made a lasting impact both in the local community and for the charity he supported.
