The record-breaking event took place during the Kankaria Carnival, an annual cultural festival held at the end of December that draws thousands of visitors. The attempt saw schoolchildren from various local schools gather to unwrap and enjoy their candies within a one-minute window, as part of a coordinated, joyful effort.
The initiative combined fun with teamwork and was designed to engage youth in a light-hearted but disciplined group activity. Officials from Guinness World Records verified the attempt on-site.
This marks another feather in the cap for Ahmedabad, which has previously hosted several record-setting events showcasing its vibrant community, organizational skill, and cultural flair.
