Largest Pilgrimage Tour by Special Children Visiting 151 Temples Sets New World Record

Prakash Residential School for Mentally Retarded Children, operated under the Gujarat Kelavani Trust, successfully organized a special pilgrimage tour for differently-abled students from Ahmedabad to Haridwar. The event took place over five days from April 1 to April 5, 2019, during which 70 students accompanied by 16 dedicated special teachers and supporters visited 151 temples and participated in prayers across the holy city of Haridwar.

This spiritually enriching journey was designed to provide the special children with an opportunity for religious engagement and communal harmony. The meticulous planning and care ensured that all participants could comfortably take part in the pilgrimage, fostering a sense of unity, peace, and devotion.

The pilgrimage has been officially recognized as a New World Record for the largest group of specially-abled children undertaking a pilgrimage tour with such an extensive temple visit itinerary.
