In a remarkable effort to promote voting awareness, Ms. Priti Dholakia, an acclaimed author and public figure from Barol, Mundra, Kutch, Gujarat, organized a world record-setting rally in Rajkot City, Gujarat. The event, held on 27th March 2019, aimed to inspire citizens to exercise their democratic rights and highlighted the importance of participating in elections.
A total of 650 citizens and students joined the rally, walking a 5-kilometer stretch to spread the message of voting awareness and civic responsibility. This initiative successfully set a new world record for the largest group walk dedicated to voting awareness.
The event was supported by Shri S. V. Virani High School, Rajkot, which played a pivotal role in mobilizing students and community members to participate in this landmark event. Organizers emphasized that informed and engaged citizens are the foundation of a vibrant democracy.
Ms. Dholakia expressed her gratitude to the participants and supporters, noting that the rally not only set a record but also ignited a spirit of civic duty among the youth and adults alike.
