Dr. Anjana Ramprasad Sandhir, a distinguished Hindi language professor at Princeton University, USA, has developed an innovative and engaging method for teaching Hindi to foreign students through the use of popular Hindi film songs.
Between 2003 and 2015, Dr. Sandhir published three editions of her acclaimed book, Learn Hindi and Hindi Film Songs, which includes an accompanying CD produced by HMV SaReGaMa. Her unique approach blends language learning with cultural immersion, making it easier and more enjoyable for students worldwide to grasp Hindi.
In a notable collaboration, the New York Life Insurance Company of USA published and distributed 10,000 free copies of the second edition of Dr. Sandhir’s book along with the CD in 2004, greatly expanding the reach and impact of her teaching method.
