In a powerful initiative to raise awareness about cyber safety for women and children, three motorcycle enthusiasts — Sankarraj Subramanian, Akilan Thenral, and Gowri Shankar — from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, have set a new world record with their extensive bike ride across India.
The trio covered an impressive distance of 8,454 kilometers over 23 days, starting their journey on May 12, 2024, from Coimbatore. Their route took them through 13 states and 5 union territories, culminating in Patna, Bihar, on June 3, 2024.
Their unprecedented expedition was officially confirmed as a world record by World Records India.
“This ride was our way of highlighting the urgent need for cyber safety awareness, especially for vulnerable groups like women and children,” said Sankarraj Subramanian. “Through this journey, we aimed to inspire people to be vigilant and proactive in the digital world.”
The record-setting ride combined passion for motorcycling with a socially important message, drawing attention to the critical issue of online safety across diverse communities.
