“Longest Qawwali Singing Marathon by a Group”

Haji Mohammed Idris and Mohammed Ilays, famously known as the Qutubi Brothers, renowned Qawwali singers from Delhi, India, organized a remarkable non-stop 12-hour Sufiyana Qawwali singing marathon titled “Adhyatmik Yatra Sufi Rang – Sham se Saher Tak.” The soulful event commenced at 9:00 pm on 12th November 2016 and concluded at 9:00 am on 13th November 2016 at the prestigious Meghdoot Theater, Sangeet Natak Akademi, Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi.

This extraordinary musical journey set a new world record for continuous Sufi Qawwali singing. The event received wholehearted support from Sangeet Natak Akademi, aiming to preserve and promote the rich and vibrant tradition of Qawwali music, which is deeply rooted in spiritual and cultural heritage.
