Most People Perform Yoga in a Single District: Ahmednagar Sets New Record

On the occasion of the 5th International Yoga Day, Ahmednagar District Sports Office in Maharashtra organized a grand yogasan and exercise program across multiple locations in the district. A staggering 15,23,642 people actively participated, performing various yoga postures and fitness exercises for 45 minutes.

The event aimed to promote spiritual development and raise awareness about the benefits of yoga as a practice to train both body and mind for self-observation and heightened awareness of one’s own nature.

The program was inaugurated by Minister Prof. Ram Shinde and District Collector Rahul Dwivedi. It was presented by Mrs. Kavita Nimbalkar Navande, the District Sports Officer, and Shri Ramakant Kathmore, the District Education Officer. The event was expertly executed by Amol Bagul, Bharat Bagrecha, and Shriniwas Nabriya.

This massive participation highlights Ahmednagar’s commitment to embracing holistic health and wellness practices, setting a remarkable example in the celebration of International Yoga Day.
