In a unique and culturally vibrant celebration of Janmashtami—the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna—SATPRERNA TRUST organized an impactful campaign titled “Butter Day” across various schools in India on August 25, 2016. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of approximately 50,000 students, all wearing Lord Krishna masks to honor and celebrate the joyous occasion.
The celebrations were held in the form of seminars and cultural programs aimed at spreading awareness about Indian traditions and the importance of Hindu festivals among young minds. Children actively engaged in the festivities, which focused on the symbolism of butter in Lord Krishna’s stories and the relevance of Janmashtami in today’s world.
The trust’s initiative successfully combined education, culture, and celebration, inspiring students from multiple cities to reconnect with their spiritual roots. This mass participation set a new benchmark in cultural outreach among school children, creating a memorable and meaningful tribute to Indian heritage.
