India’s Pioneer Feather Carving Artist Creates Stunning Portraits

Nileshkumar Pravin Chauhan, a talented creative artist born on April 5, 1980, has set a remarkable new record by crafting over 100 exquisite artworks and portraits using real exotic bird feathers. The unique art pieces, created in Mumbai, showcase feathers from species such as Scarlet Macaw, Silver Pheasant, and Turkey, ranging in size from 4 millimeters to 1 meter.

Employing a delicate cutting and carving technique on natural molt feathers, Chauhan has masterfully depicted famous personalities including cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, political icon Balasaheb Thackeray, UAE founder Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, spiritual figures Sai Baba, Lord Ganesha, Swami Vivekananda, and Gautama Buddha.

Highlighting his commitment to ethical artistry, Chauhan emphasized that no birds were harmed or killed during the creation process, as all feathers used were naturally molted.
