GIRNAR SAHITYA MANCH Sets World Record with 151 Gujarati Poems Honoring Mount Girnar’s Rich Heritage

In a heartfelt tribute to the cultural and historical grandeur of Mount Girnar, the GIRNAR SAHITYA MANCH, based in Junagadh, Gujarat, created a literary milestone by organizing a worldwide poem writing initiative under the visionary leadership of renowned poet Shri Dilip Dholakiya (pen name: “Shyam”).

A total of 111 talented poets from around the world participated in this unique endeavor, contributing 151 original Gujarati-language poems that beautifully reflect the spiritual, historical, and natural essence of the sacred Mount Girnar. The collected works were compiled and published in a dedicated poetry anthology titled “Maha Mahimavant Girnar”, celebrating the mountain’s deep-rooted significance in Indian heritage.

This extraordinary literary project not only brought together poetic minds but also served as a medium to promote awareness of the medieval and cultural importance of Mount Girnar to a wider audience. The event culminated in the setting of a New World Record on 21st July 2024 in Junagadh, Gujarat, India.

The publication has been hailed as a remarkable cultural document, preserving Mount Girnar’s glory through the timeless lens of poetry and solidifying its place in the literary and spiritual heritage of India.
