In a proud moment for the global music and cultural community, Sita Maiya Rajchal, a renowned sitarist and performing artist affiliated with the Cultural Corporation of Nepal, has been officially recognized by the World Book of Records, London as the “World’s First Female Standing Sitar Performer.”
In a special felicitation ceremony, Sita Maiya Rajchal was presented with the official certificate by Dr. Satya Mohan Joshi, Nepal’s celebrated scholar and cultural icon affectionately known as “Satabdi Purush.” The event marked a historic milestone in both the world of music and women’s empowerment through cultural expression.
