The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has set a remarkable record for the maximum number of students participating in a Super Mega Career Counselling Programme. A total of 1,60,648 students ranging from Class IX to graduation level took part in this nationwide initiative, along with principals, teachers, and career counsellors.
The first phase of the programme was held on October 31, 2022, followed by a second massive drive on November 26, 2022. Conducted by ICAI’s 124 Branches and 5 Regional Councils across India, the sessions aimed to guide students on career opportunities, particularly in the field of accountancy and finance, and to help them make informed career choices.
The record was officially confirmed on January 6, 2023, marking a milestone in ICAI’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment and career development.
Speaking on the achievement, an ICAI official said, “This Super Mega Career Counselling Programme reflects our vision to reach every student, helping them navigate their career paths with clarity and confidence. We are proud to have created an impactful platform at such a large scale.”
With over 1.6 lakh students engaged, this initiative has set a new benchmark for career counselling outreach in India, highlighting ICAI’s role not just as a professional body but also as a leader in educational and career guidance.
