“From Labs to Legends: Amrita Vidyalayam Students Break Records Across Science and Culture”

Students of Amrita Vidyalayam have once again proven that excellence knows no bounds, as they made national and international headlines by setting multiple records in fields ranging from chemistry experiments to cultural performances. The extraordinary achievements were recognized by the India Book of Records and are expected to feature in the Guinness World Records as well.

In an awe-inspiring display of scientific curiosity and teamwork, over 2,000 students from Amrita Vidyalayam schools across the country participated in a synchronized chemistry experiment, setting a new record for the largest simultaneous science experiment conducted by school students. The event emphasized sustainable chemistry practices and safety, with students performing eco-friendly reactions using biodegradable materials.

Parallel to this, Amrita Vidyalayam students showcased the richness of Indian culture through a mass group Bharatanatyam performance that brought together hundreds of young dancers from different regions. The coordinated routine, set to classical Carnatic music, lasted over 15 minutes and was hailed as a visual treat and a powerful symbol of unity in diversity.

Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, the Vice-Chairman of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, commended the students’ achievements: “These records are not just about numbers. They reflect a balance of intellect and spirit — values that Amrita stands for.”

Parents, educators, and dignitaries from across India gathered to celebrate the dual accomplishments in science and culture, praising the school’s holistic approach to education. The students’ success is a testament to the school’s mission of blending modern education with timeless values.

As the applause echoes across campuses, Amrita Vidyalayam continues to inspire — turning classrooms into launchpads and traditions into triumphs.
