Sruthy Saseendran, an aviation enthusiast from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, has achieved a Guinness World Record by identifying the most airport codes in one minute.
Her journey began in 2012 with a dream of setting a world record, but it wasn’t until after her marriage and relocation to Melbourne, Australia, that she focused on aviation—a childhood passion. In 2023, Sruthy started memorizing global airport codes, initially recalling about 30 per minute. Through rigorous practice, she improved her speed, eventually identifying up to 100 codes in 60 seconds.
Sruthy faced challenges, including job loss and financial difficulties, but remained determined. After multiple rejections, her application was accepted in 2024, leading to her official record confirmation on December 5, 2024.
She credits her success to unwavering passion and support from her family, encouraging others to pursue their dreams with dedication.
