“Legendary Composer Naushad Saab Honored Posthumously by World Book of Records”

The World Book of Records has posthumously honored legendary Bollywood music composer Naushad Ali for his monumental contributions to the Indian film industry, particularly for integrating Indian classical music into cinema and promoting Hindustani music.

In a ceremony held at Naushad Ali’s residence, Ashiana, in Mumbai, the award was presented to his son, Raju Naushad Ali, by Santosh Shukla and Usmaan Khan, representatives of the World Book of Records.

Naushad Ali’s illustrious career began with his debut as an independent music director in 1940 for the film “Prem Nagar.” He achieved his first major success with “Rattan” in 1944 and went on to compose music for numerous classics, including “Mughal-E-Azam,” “Baiju Bawra,” and “Mother India.” His work is celebrated for its deep roots in classical music and its enduring impact on Indian cinema.

This recognition by the World Book of Records serves as a testament to Naushad Ali’s lasting legacy and his significant role in shaping the musical landscape of Bollywood.
